Climate Control: We are located within a temperate rainforest here in Brevard. Please help us maintain your room as fresh and comfortable as possible by keeping your door closed at all times and ensuring that your PTAC unit is always on. Adjust it to your comfort level while in the room, and please leave it set to 76 degrees in summer and 70 degrees in winter when you depart.
Smoking Policy: Our rooms and public spaces are 100% smoke-free. This policy includes the use of tobacco, e-cigarettes, vapes, marijuana, and incense. Guests may smoke only in one designated outdoor area which is a covered bench near the entrance to the property on South Broad Street. There is no smoking allowed in any other outdoor spaces on the property. Guests who do not comply with this policy are subject to a minimum fine of $300 and an additional $150 fee for deep cleaning and deodorizing of their room. Additional fees may apply.
Dog Policy: We offer six dog-friendly rooms on the property, and we allow up to two dogs per room. Rooms 11 and 12 are single queen rooms. Rooms 14, 15, 16, and 17 are deluxe double queen rooms. Dogs are not allowed in any other rooms, including the apartment and the cottage.
We’re animal lovers, too, and we’re so glad to welcome you and your dog(s) to The Sunset Motel! We hope this feels as close to home as possible. In an effort to ensure that everyone has a delightful stay, please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Please keep your dogs leashed at all times to ensure their safety and the safety of those around them.
- Dogs are not allowed on beds, couches, or other furniture inside rooms.
- Please clean up after your dogs in all areas. Dog stations with waste bags are provided in the courtyard and at the rear of the property. If an accident occurs indoors during your stay, please contact the office immediately (828-884-9106) so that we can manage clean-up and stain removal as soon as possible.
- You are welcome to use our bike and dog wash located at the front of the property near Room 17 free of charge. Please do not use our bathrooms to bathe your dogs. Let us know if you need additional towels for your dogs, and we will gladly provide them.
When you bring your dog(s), you will be charged $35 per night up to $100 maximum for stays of 7 nights or fewer to help offset additional cleaning needs. We also apply a $500 dog deposit that is fully refundable upon checkout if no damage occurs. If damage to your room or the property does occur, we will keep your dog deposit to account for repair or replacement of damaged items. Additional fees may apply.
Undeclared dogs will result in a $100 fine.
Housekeeping Information: Thank you for trusting us to provide you with a clean and comfortable stay here in Brevard! Our team prepares your room with great care. When you stay with us for three nights or fewer, we will not enter your room unless you let us know that you would like to have your room cleaned. For stays of four nights or more, our team will clean your room every third day. We would be happy to refresh towels, toiletries, and coffee by leaving items on the table/chairs outside your door. Simply let a housekeeper or manager know what we can provide. Your gratuities upon departure go directly to our dedicated housekeepers, Lisa and Kaylee.
Check-Out Information: As hard as it may be to leave The Sunset Motel, please know that check-out time is at 10:00AM. Late checkouts will result in a $50 fee unless approved in advance. Please contact the office to request a late check-out. We look forward to seeing you again! Safe travels!
